Checked swelling over metacarpals- appears resolved. HF from 35 g of rat- dropped just a couple pieces he wouldn't take. Gave 17 cc LRS SQ in R leg inguinal area.

O: Weighed, took temp - left on low heating pad, Took x ray and noted suspected lead in GI. Collected blood from right wing for PCV/TS, CBC, lead. Lead test was low. Breathing heavily so gave fluids and med and put back in cage. OB HF until full 41g chopped rat

A: BAR, lead test was low but has some metal objects in GI (could still be lead just nothing has absorbed into blood stream yet) will hopefully cast it out. Temp still a little low so left on supplemental heat. No fractures noted but left metacarpal is a little bruised/swollen. Feather condition is poor - could be due to diet as bird is emaciated. TS were low likely due to emaciation. 

P: HF until full. Can switch to SF when at a better weight. Rx Vit B. Retest blood in a week. Monitor casts for metal objects. Repeat rads in a few days

P: More thorough exam tomorrow along with radiographs. Collect blood and fecal. Rx meloxicam. Rx SQ fluids SID. SF tonight and HF in AM if DNE. Weigh SID
